166 people participated in the VIRTUAL-OSCCAR workshop on 8 September. The topic ‘Progress in Virtual Testing for automotive applications’ attracted an audience interested in the latest advancements with respect to virtual testing in automotive applications.
In addition to sharing an update on the latest findings from the EU-funded projects VIRTUAL and OSCCAR, attendees heard from Euro NCAP about their plans of adding virtual testing in the assessment procedure for the occupants. IIHS shared details about how they are moving forward to better understand how whiplash injuries protection systems work and how the best performing systems can be identified. Toyota elaborated on the THUMS models becoming freely available 2021. The recording of the workshop and the presentations are available online.
