Samenvatting
The improvement of traffic safety is a duty of the national government in cooperation with the organizations and institutes which do their jobs in this area. In 1973 the Dutch parliament required the installation of a traffic safety section in the Department of Transport. An overview is presented of the given recommendations for such a section and its cooperation with private research institutes.
