The application of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards to public utility vehicles.

Federal Safety Standards applicable to trucks are described. The major requirements of the nine truck standards are discussed as applied to complete vehicles, chassis-cab vehicles, and chassis-cowl and stripped chassis units which by subsequent modification. Alternation, or addition are developed into vehicles specifically utilized in public utility type service.
