Road safety in the Netherlands has ceased to improve. The number of road deaths does no longer decline and the number of serious road injuries increases. If no major adjustments in policy and implementation are made at all levels, the Dutch road safety target for 2020, a maximum of 500 road deaths and 10.500 serious road injuries, will not be met.
This web-based annual report will provide you with information about SWOV and about the efforts SWOV made in 2015 to successfully achieve the road safety targets despite the present decline.
