SWOV researcher Angelique Tinga obtained her PhD at Tilburg University on the 16th of September. She defended her thesis Assessment of learning through non-invasive neurophysiological measures.
The results presented in this thesis show, among other things, that neurophysiology is suitable for measuring learning. Different neurophysiological measures change consistently during learning in the experimental studies. It also appears that individual differences (such as age) and task-related factors (such as whether or not to give feedback) have an effect on neurophysiological changes during learning.
She started her PhD research before she joined SWOV and was still working at Tilburg University. She currently works in the 'Human Factors and Vehicle Automation' department.
