Heavy vehicles
Heavy vehicles are usually commercial vehicles. Crashes in which heavy vehicles are involved often have serious consequences because most of the crash opponents are more vulnerable. Crashes can be caused by unsafe traffic behaviour of the professional driver, as well as by other road users insufficiently taking into account the characteristic driving behaviour of heavy vehicles. For example, lorry drivers have the problem of the 'blind spot' and delivery van drivers have a more limited rear view than car drivers.
