The database consists of aggregated data about: injury accidents, road deaths and injured victims, vehicle numbers, vehicle kilometres, road lengths, and population. There is data for 1965 and time series from 1970 onwards.

Data is available from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United States.
The data includes:

· population by age-group (fine)
· number of vehicles by type
· personal kilometres travelled by vehicle type
· vehicle kilometres by vehicle type and by road type
· road length by road type
· area
· injury accidents by road type
· injury accidents per 100,000 inhabitants
· injury accidents per million vehicle kilometres and (within this) by road type
· victims (injured or killed)
· victims per 100,000 inhabitants
· victims per million vehicle kilometres
· deaths by age-group (fine)
· deaths by vehicle type and (within this) by age-group (rough)
· deaths by road type
