The link to sustainably safe
The link between ITS and a sustainably safe road network is part of the ongoing SWOV-TRAIL research [a joint research involving the efforts of the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research and TRAIL (a research school in the automated vehicle guidance field participated in by the Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University, Rotterdam)] programme, but this is still in its early stages. For the time being, it can be said that ISA appears to fit well into the sustainable safe philosophy.
