ARRB Transport Research Library
Founded in 1962, ARRB's Library takes the lead role in national and international land transport information provision and knowledge sharing. The MG Lay Library is the main content provider for the Australian Transport Index (ATRI). The collection comprises over 40,000 books, reports, theses, conference proceedings and manuals, and has national and international focus, including important archival material.

 

Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek
De Bibliotheek van het CBS bevindt zich zowel in Den Haag als in Heerlen. In Den Haag heeft men, naast alle CBS-publicaties, de beschikking over een grote collectie nationale- en internationale statistische publicaties. Er zijn publicaties van andere statistische bureaus maar ook van organisaties als Eurostat, de OESO en de Verenigde Naties. 

 

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Electronic Reading Room
This 'Electronic Reading Room' of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), which is a part of the U.S. Department of Transportation and is headquartered in Washington, D.C., contains for instance electronic forms, reports and statistics.

 

Federal Highway Administration Research Library
&T) mission to investigate new highway technologies and transfer those research results to the transportation community, the FHWA Research Library  provides collections, electronic resources, and services in support of the research needs of FHWA staff; and collects and maintains all research reports by or for FHWA RD&T. The FHWA Research Library exists to serve the information needs of FHWA employees. The FHWA Research Library will answer questions from the general public as time permits. Non-FHWA employees looking for copies of FHWA reports should see "Sources for FHWA Reports."

 

Forschungsgesellschaft für Straßen- und Verkehrswesen
Die FGSV bietet Fachinformationsdienste auf dem Gebiet des Straßen- und Verkehrswesens an und unterhält eine umfangreiche Spezialbibliothek zu den Gebieten des Straßen- und Verkehrswesens. Sammelschwerpunkte sind: Verkehrsplanung, Straßenentwurf, Straßenverkehrstechnik, Stadtverkehr, Straßenbau und –erhaltung, und Tunnel- und Brückenbau. Hinzu kommt eine Sammlung straßenhistorischer Literatur.

 

Harmer E. Davis Transportation Library
The Harmer E. Davis Transportation Library houses one of the pre-eminent transportation collections in the United States. Established in 1948, it is the country's oldest university transportation library. The Library serves the research needs of the Institute of Transportation Studies and the University of California system. With joint sponsorship by the California Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration, the Library provides free, specialized services to California public agencies through the Technology Transfer Program.

 

Highway Safety Research Center Library
The library of the Highway Safety Research Center of the University of North Carolina provides access to traffic safety research information from the United States, and around the world. Library collections reflect the focus of the Center's research, and concentrate on human factors, civil engineering, and design of facilities for pedestrians, cyclists, and motor vehicles.

 

INRETS Library
Le réseau des centres de documentation de l'INRETS (Institut National de Recherche sur les Transports et leur Sécurité) met à la disposition des chercheurs et spécialistes du domaine des transports: les publications de l'INRETS et de ses chercheurs; des rapports, ouvrages, actes de colloques etc.; et des collections de périodiques pluridisciplinaires.

 

National Transportation Library (NTL)
Charged with improving the availability of transportation-related information needed by federal, state, and local decision-makers, the National Transportation Library's (NTL) mission is to increase timely access to the information that supports transportation policy, research, operations, and technology transfer activities. The NTL was established in 1998 through the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century and serves as a repository of materials from public, academic and private organizations. The National Transportation Library is administered by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics in cooperation with its federal, state, and local partners.

 

NCAD
Het Nederlands Centrum voor Autohistorische Documentatie NCAD verzamelt, beheert, ontsluit en catalogiseert boeken, tijdschriften, foto's en andere documenten op het gebied van de geschiedenis van de auto in de ruimste zin des woords. Ook bezit het NCAD documentatie over motorfietsen, vrachtauto's, bijzondere voertuigen, wegtransport en verkeer in het algemeen. Tot de doelgroep worden zowel de hobbyist en de collectioneur, als de transporthistoricus gerekend.

 

Northwestern University Transportation Library
The Transportation Library was founded in 1958 to support the curricula and research programs of the Transportation Center and the Center for Public Safety of Northwestern University, including the School of Police Staff and Command. The Transportation Library of Northwestern University is one of the largest transportation information centers in the world, encompassing information on all transportation modalities, including: air, rail, highway, pipeline, water, urban transport and logistics. It includes a significant collection on law enforcement, police management and traffic enforcement, and its collection of environmental impact statements is one of the most complete in the world. 

 

Opzoekingscentrum voor de Wegenbouw (OCW)
Het Belgische Opzoekingscentrum voor de Wegenbouw (OCW) is een private researchinstelling van openbaar nut en werd in 1952 opgericht. Het Centrum wil een onafhankelijk kenniscentrum zijn, dat in de spits van de technologie op wegengebied staat. Het OCW houdt zich bezig met onderzoek, ontwikkeling en toepassing op het gebied van wegontwerp, wegenbouw, wegenonderhoud, verkeersveiligheid, mobiliteit en milieuvriendelijke wegenbouw, en met dienstverlening aan de vakmensen van wegenbouwbedrijven, de bevoegde nationale, gewestelijke en plaatselijke overheden, producenten van materialen en materieel, keurings-, certificatie- en normalisatie-instellingen, het onderwijs in alle vormen en op alle niveaus, adviesbureaus en ontwerpers, en keurings- en beproevingslaboratoria.

 

Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) Library and Information Centre
VTI Library and Information Centre (BIC) collects, organizes, stores and disseminates information in the field of transport and communication research. BIC has the national responsibility for providing information within the area of transport and communication research, and for making the literature available. The special library is one of the largest in Europe in this area. It comprises 4,500 m of literature and about 1,100 periodicals.

 

Swedish Traffic Administration (Trafikverket) Library
The library contains Swedish and foreign literature on the design, construction and maintenance of roads, bridges and tunnels as well as on road traffic safety, the environment, transport and vehicle technology.

 

Transport Canada Library Services
The Transport Canada library contains more than 100,000 books and technical reports on transportation and related topics. The library is subscribed to more than 300 periodicals and serials. The library also maintains an extensive collection of reports, studies and reviews produced by Transport Canada, as well as other major transportation organizations.

 

Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) Library
TRL is an independent, internationally recognised centre of excellence in surface transport issues. The organisation provides research based technical help which enables customers to obtain improved value for money, generate competitive advantage and a better understanding of transport problems. TRL has one of the world's most comprehensive collections of transport books, journals and reports, with TRL publishing many reports a year on a wide range of transport-related subjects.

 

Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) Library
The TAC Library contains thousands of volumes, covering all facets of transportation. As well as Canadian reports from all levels of government, universities, associations and the private sector, the library has a significant collection of documents from international organizations. These include the U.S. Transportation Research Board (TRB), the British Transport Research Laboratory (TRL), the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

 

Transportation Research Board (TRB) Library
The Transportation Research Board (TRB) is a division of the National Research Council, which serves as an independent adviser to the federal government and others on scientific and technical questions of national importance. The TRB Library is the primary archive for publications of the Transportation Research Board, Highway Research Board, Strategic Highway Research Program, and the Marine Board. The library was founded in 1946 to provide information services to TRB staff, sponsors, TRB committees and panels, and researchers. The TRB library collection contains a complete collection of TRB, HRB, SHRP, and Marine Board publications going back to 1923; subscriptions to over 500 journals; and more than 14,000 technical reports and monographs.

 

Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center Library
The Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) is a federally owned and operated research facility in McLean, Virginia. TFHRC is the home of the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA's) Office of Research, Development, and Technology. TFHRC provides FHWA and the world highway community with the most advanced research and development related to new highway technologies. The research focuses on providing solutions to complex technical problems through the development of more economical, environmentally sensitive designs; more efficient, quality controlled constructions practices; and more durable materials. The end result is a safer, more reliable highway transportation system.

 

University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI)
The UMTRI Library houses one of the world's most extensive collections of literature on traffic safety. It reflects the diversity of disciplines that the field comprises: biomechanics, lighting, vehicle dynamics, driver behavior, and injuries from motor-vehicle crashes. The collection is also strong in the areas of intelligent transportation systems, crash causation, driver distraction, and the automotive industry. Its collection includes more than 110,000 items and more than 210 periodical titles.
